Your continued support of my music and other creative endeavors means the world to me. People sometimes wish to tip at shows, but don't have cash on hand. This "virtual tip jar" will enable you to do so via Paypal.
If you'd like to make a donation to support the Nature Workshop project you can do that here, too. Thank you all, dear friends!
A Note About the Shirts:
Printing is done with discharge ink so it's soft and dyed into the shirt itself. For our purposes, since we are not printers, that means the ink is chill and IN the fabric, NOT hard and sticky and plastic looking. I would NEVER do that to you. Woot! All my love. #DMFH

Late in 2007, recording engineer Mitch Webb (Mantis Records Studios) packed up his studio gear and followed Danielle Howle down a long, bumpy road to the solar-powered Swamp House which sits deep within the magical wilderness of the Francis Marion National Forest.
Together they captured the first known album to be recorded on solar power in South Carolina. The sessions were originally meant to be demos, but once Howle and Webb listened back to the tracks, they decided to release them on CD. The collection lived in that physical form until February 2020 when ‘Swamp Sessions’ was released in digital format on streaming platforms (and on DanielleHowle.com).

"Like most folks who want to play music, I got on the phone and the internet and tried to make some shows happen. I kept recording things along the way, more as something to look at and work from as a songwriter. Some tunes on 'The Triangle Album' were played once, when they were recorded. It is nice to visit this material again and offer it to my music friends. I have changed so much since those days as a spirit and an artist."

Together with drummer Troy Tague, who joined in 1987, they released a six-song cassette titled “The Other Eggs Are Waking Up”. With Danielle Howle joining the band that distinctive Lay Quiet Awhile sound came into full focus. But how exactly would one categorize that sound? Critics have described it as "eccentric buzz-mania" and "a blending of folk and punk without the sudden gearshifts that one might expect". The band described themselves as "melodic thrash folk metal.”
