Howdy Music Friends!
One of my songs “Let Me Take You There” is in a Television Commercial about my hometown Columbia, SC which will start airing nationally NOW! Check it out.
This song was recorded, engineered and co-produced by Kenny McWilliams of Archer Avenue Studios in Columbia, SC. The song “Let Me Take You There” is my first co-write with marketing executive Doreen Sullivan, CEO of Post No Bills, overseeing the Columbia Visitor's Bureau campaign the song was created for.
“I am so happy to be chosen to write about my hometown that I love so much. I am a proud graduate of Spring Valley High school. My teaching mentors include Jim Thigpen, founder of Trustus theatre, David Knight, renowned writer and journalism teacher, Nancy Layman, creative writing, and my English teachers: Kathy Simpson, Martha Bryan, Francis LaBorde and Marsha Watkins.

We have a great engineer, back-line for bands and all you have to bring is yourself, instrument of choice, and your fans. We will provide some new fans for you as this event is well attended. I want to pack the place! Stay tuned! We are working on a partnership with a local radio station featuring this event.
Barn Jam at Awendaw Green
Every Wednesday night in the town of Awendaw, SC in the low country, outside of Charleston, 2-300 music lovers gather (rain or shine) to see local and touring bands from all over the country. Be part of this community on FB. https://www.facebook.com/awendawgreen/?ref=hl submit your band to play a show with us here at Awendaw Green by contacting our fearless leader Eddie White. Awendawgreen@gmail.com This show does book far in advance, which is helpful to touring and local musicians who plan on bringing their fans to join a large, enthusiastic crowd of listeners. I am Artist in Residence for this organization. You can find me making wood-fired pizza each Wednesday, and playing on stage when I am needed. It is a lovely family oriented event.
Thursdays with Mitch Webb Sessions– a DMFH recording adventure
ADD PHOTOS OF MUSICIANS
I like to track at Mantis Records with producer/engineer Mitch Webb EVERY Thursday I get. Mitch has access to the best players in Charleston and the surrounding area. I get to record with bad-asses and really dig in to my songs. In fact, Mitch Webb is a multi-instrumentalist of great skill. Sometimes we just sit in there and record ourselves. No song nor idea is too crazy for Mitch. He gets music and artists.
Did you get to hear the Christmas song from 2015? Mitch recorded that. It was a dream come true. Whether you are “over” Christmas or not, hear the skills of this producer and the awesome players that agreed to bring it. It's technically not a Christmas song, but has some elements rocking in there.
Music Friends!! Pardon my long wind. Can you believe I left some other awesome stuff out on purpose? More news soon. XO! D
