March is HERE! Big news from Danielle Howle

Howdy Music friends!
How's it going out there?Things are great here.I'm going to jump ahead and tell you all about THE BEST DREAM COME TRUE SHOW EVER!!!

Imagine THE BARN JAM here at Awendaw Green www.awendawgreen.com on a Friday night- My birthday, March 29th!! Yep, it's true- there is a special birthday jam with my band Firework show, Josh Roberts and The Hinges, www.youtube.com/watch and recently added artists Bret Mosley www.youtube.com/watch and Finnegan Bell. www.reverbnation.com/finneganbellmusic

Here's a little about March 29th Owl-Rath Fest
The Barn Jams at Awendaw Green have become the Southeast's indie/grass-roots connecting hinge for musicians who are making hardcore culture shifts in American music today.

Josh Roberts and The Hinges, affectionately known to fans as J-RATH are teaming up again with Danielle Howle + Firework Show to bring you Owl-Rath Fest. This will be a night of unadulterated rock and roll face melting, combined with the most subtle of harmonic moments.

Owl-Rath Fest musicians will conjure the ancient musical conversation about the celebration and calling up of creativity in it's truest form of action. Spread far and wide, and share wildly, this call of musical ohm with all of your people. Get your advanced tickets at http://daniellehowle.com/houseconcertsshowtickets.cfm to ensure your safe entry into the wildest show of spirit on earth.

The place to be on Friday, March 29th is Awendaw Green: The FB invite for the event is: www.facebook.com/events/539280936093937

For those of you who may be traveling from out of town (or out of state) to this event, there is some camping on the Barn Jam site available for first come first serve. Email me here directly to reserve in advance. The invite on facebook will tell you all about this, or the ticket purchasing area of my website. Spread the word! Also, there are affordable hotels 8-10 miles up the road in Mount Pleasant, SC.

During this mini-fest, we will also be holding a Grit Cook-off competition. To enter this, you can DO IT right where you buy tickets to the concert on my site. If you enter the Grit Cook-off then you are most welcome to stay for the whole concert. All proceeds from the GRIT-OFF go to benefit my community music project called www.swampsessions.com
This is the ONLY "Off The Grid" studio and music project in SC. It is recorded on SOLAR POWER in the beautiful Francis Marion National Forest in a swamp house!! :) Compete in the GRIT-OFF and win a free trip to the Swamp House with a concert by yours truly.  There's never going to be another opportunity to support a great project and get back to nature than this!!

BUT WAIT.... why support Swamp Sessions?? There are some notable and rarified performances by Cary Ann Hearst, Bret Mosley, Edwin McCain, Joel Hamilton, Joel Timmons (Sol Driven Train) and Mark Bryan of Hootie and The Blowfish, to name a few you may have heard of before. We also have many artists that kick ass that are up-and coming in this rare collection of songs. To learn more about this project click on the website listed above, or visit Swamp Sessions on facebook. FRiend us, for we are small, but mighty! www.facebook.com/swampsessions

Well, now I will switch gears to something less pleasant but super important. I guess many of you heard about my car accident right before Christmas. I was rear ended on a major highway, while at a complete stop in traffic. OUCH.  I am still recovering from this physically and without health insurance- its getting rough financially as well.

Also, I lost all my PA gear, my car and a lot more stuff, which I hope to have replaced somehow. There is a place on my website where donations are being accepted for my gear and now for medical expenses.  Go to the merch section and click on MUSIC- it will come right up for more information on how to help. I can be reached on this website if you wish to speak to me about this.

Fortunately, Kevin Oliver, regional and national music journalist, along with many of our friends in my hometown of Columbia, SC, threw me a yard sale where money was raised to help me out! A guitar was donated to me as well! I feel very lucky to have this support and still, more is needed.  I have never been one to ask, but I am asking now.

So spread the word on that and the wonderful concert on March 29th. Come hang and "festivalize" with us, hear the new music I have been creating with my band and others, while enjoying this pristine setting in the low country of South Carolina- The Barn Jam at Awendaw Green, is where I have been doing my artist in residency work!  It will be a HUGE show and I hope to see you there. Love from DMFH
